Biography of Tracie Jahn

Tracie Jahn began her career with Walters Wholesale Electric, where she was employed for almost 20 years. Starting as a part-time receptionist, her position evolved many times. She progressed from executive assistant to customer sales, with bits of everything in between. During the last few years with Walters, Tracie focused on Lighting Design, which meshed with her growing interest in the Design world. That interest was further fueled by the remodeling of 5 homes in 8 years. It had become clear that a formal education in Interior Design was the path to follow.

Tracie started at IDI with the “Let’s see if this is for me” attitude. Very soon it became clear that the answer was “YES!” and Tracie completed the Bachelor’s degree program in December of 2007. It was during the final “Senior Show” semester that renowned designer Nancy Corzine contacted IDI looking for a design assistant. Tracie excitedly joined her team and is now applying her IDI education to her new career. In the short time Tracie has been with Nancy Corzine, she has worked on national advertising campaigns, prestigious show houses, Nancy Corzine retail locations, private design clients and exclusive hotels! Tracie credits her IDI education with providing skills she uses each and every day and smiles when she thinks of Judy Deaton saying “Don’t worry, it will happen”…Judy was right!

Tracie and her husband, Garen, have been bitten hard by the travel bug and spend as much time as possible seeing the world. When work schedules will not allow globe trotting, they enjoy spending time together at their homes in Long Beach and Palm Springs.
